In addition to the pro bono work, the firm upholds a long-standing tradition of community service which is performed through money donations and volunteer work with economically disadvantaged populations. For instance, the firm’s legal teams – interns, attorneys and partners alike, teach classes, and lecture to pupils and students from education and academic institutions, including as part of the legal aid program of the ‘Movement against Poverty’ and ‘A Different Lesson’ (both Israeli nonprofit organizations). The continuous educational activity is held at several classes every year, and concludes with a mock trial preformed with the participation of the students’ parents and teachers.
In addition, for the past several years the firm has taken part in the ‘Good Deeds Day’ in Israel (initiated by businesswoman and philanthropist Shari Arison, owner of the Arison Group), in which Goldfarb Seligman’s entire staff – legal and administrative alike, participate in an array of volunteer activities benefiting the community.
