A Seminar in Memory of Oded Eran

In a rare event, three of Israel’s most senior regulators met on the same stage: Ms. Anat Guetta, Chair, Israel Securities Authority; Mr. Yair Avidan, Supervisor of Banks; and Dr. Moshe Bareket, Director General, Israel Capital Markets, Insurance and Saving Authority.

The three came together as part of a series of seminars by our firm in cooperation with the Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Law, held in memory of our dear partner and friend, Adv. Oded Eran.

The event was moderated by Supreme Court Justice (Ret.) Prof. Yoram Danziger. Other speakers included Prof. Sharon Hannes, Dean of the Faculty; Adv. Yudi Levy, Managing Partner of Goldfarb Seligman; and Mrs. Daphna Eran, Oded’s widow.
Adv. Aaron Michaeli, Head of our Commercial, Class Action and Insolvency Litigation Department, moderated the thought provoking panel before a hall filled to capacity, challenging the distinguished panel members with questions related to the position of the regulator in light of the Seligman ruling.
