Biography

Adv. Nathan Meir is one of Israel’s leading attorneys in the fields of planning and construction and local government, owing to his extensive activity and many years of experience.
Nathan provides legal counsel to local authorities, economic companies, and cities associations, and also advises various teams and associations, including the Association of Municipal Companies, the Association of Treasurers of Local Authorities, and planning teams for various national outline plans. Recently, he developed a model for infrastructure development in local authorities, and based on his recommendations, the Municipalities Ordinance was amended.
In addition, Nathan serves as the legal advisor to the Association of City Engineers and holds various positions in numerous public committees, as well as the Chairman of the Licensing Committee of the Israel Football Association.
Furthermore, Nathan lectures on topics of local government law, planning and construction law, real estate law, and real estate taxation law at various institutions and organizations, including government ministries, higher education institutions, professional schools, and various advanced education institutes.
Alongside his diverse activities, Nathan publishes articles in professional journals in his fields of practice, is a member of the editorial teams of professional journals, and frequently appears at conferences and lectures related to his field of practice.
Nathan began his professional career in the office of Adv. Yitzhak Shevo (z”l) and retired Judge Dr. Gabriel Kling, and since 1979 has served as the legal advisor to various local government bodies, including: the Local Government Treasury, the Union of Local Authorities in Israel, the Economic Company for Local Government, the Local Government Automation Company, and the Association of Regional Councils. In 1983, he founded Nathan Meir & Co., which merged with our firm.
For years, Nathan served as the Chairman of the Contracts, Property, and Real Estate Committee of the Israel Bar Association, and frequently appeared before many governmental forums in his field of practice.
