Adv. Schwartz is a Partner and Head of the firm’s Corporate Immigration Practice at the Labor and Corporate Immigration Department.
Adv. Schwartz has significant expertise in U.S. corporate immigration law, and is considered one of the leading experts in Israel and worldwide in this field.
Adv. Schwartz provides legal advice and assistance to a range of private and corporate clients regarding U.S. non-immigrant work and investor visas for relocating executive, managerial and specialized knowledge personnel. In this capacity, he advises clients on the best visa classification for their needs, providing ongoing counsel throughout the visa application process, and representing clients seeking relocation and immigration benefits from United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, as well as from United States embassies and consular posts around the world.
In addition, Adv. Schwartz advises on complex visa cases involving possible inadmissibility to the U.S. due to past criminal convictions or immigration violations. He specializes in providing ongoing counsel to clients in order to identify potential legal status issues before they occur, and to create plans of action for avoiding such issues.
Adv. Schwartz also provides legal counsel to client employees seeking to apply for Permanent Residence in the United States (“Green Cards”). He works primarily with the Green Card tracks created for multinational executives and managers, and for extraordinary ability individuals.
Among Adv. Schwartz's clients are a wide variety of corporations, from major public companies to start-ups, including leading hi-tech companies, investment funds and more.
Adv. Schwartz is frequently invited to lecture on corporate immigration law at various academic and professional forums, throughout the United States, Israel and Europe. He regularly publishes professional articles, including several books and guides, and co-authored the Council on Foreign Relations’ Policy Memorandum on modernizing the U.S. visa system.
Adv. Schwartz previously served in several positions in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), including Chair, Department of State Liaison Committee; Chair, AILA EMEA Chapter; and Co-Chair, AILA Global Migration Section, among others.
